Curly Joe's History

In 1974 Curly Joe opened his first Pizza Take-Away Business located in Coburg, Victoria. The take-away pizza business was a huge success and extremely popular with people from all over Melbourne.  After (10yrs) of success in Melbourne, Curly moved to the Gold Coast with his wife and two children and opened his first fully-licensed Pizza Restaurant in Surfers Paradise in 1982.

The new business was again immediately successful. The success of the Gold Coast adventure is a credit to Curly’s old fashioned approach of providing customers with great food, exceptional, friendly service at affordable prices. In 1984 Curly and his family missed home
and the friends and family they had left behind and returned to Melbourne with the view to start a new venture.

In 1992….. Curly Joe's Restaurant was born. It’s success and popularity with Melbournian’s turned a mans dream a Melbourne restaurant icon.

The word soon spread that this great Italian Restaurant in Brunswick was serving fantastic food, fresh homemade pasta, fresh seafood, tender steaks and tasty, crispy, delicious pizzas.

15 years later, regular dinners from all over Melbourne are still enjoying the Curly Joe’s dining experience.

Curly Joe’s was one of the first restaurants in Melbourne to home deliver a Full restaurant Menu and alcohol with the same service and efficiency experienced by dine in customers.
